The Skiing

• Chatel, part of the Portes du Soleil offers some of the finest skiing in Europe.  It h as over 650km of marked runs covering 13 resorts in France and Switzerland.
• Skiers and snowboarders, beginners to experts are all well catered for on the tree-lined trails, wide open pistes, powder fields. bowls and gullies.

You need never ski the same route twice!

• Beginners can start their skiing careers on the gentle slopes at Pre La Joux at the top of the Super Chatel telecabine.  Intermediates can try the spectacular Grand Paradis Trail above Champery and the really courageous can attempt the Swiss Wall!

The Skiing in Chatel covers three mountain areas:
Super Chatel, Barbossine and La Linga / Pre-la-Joux and includes the village Ski Lifts.

From Chatel, direct links from Avoriaz and the Swiss Ski Resorts ,Torgon and Morgins connect with the huge Portes du Soleil ski area.

With the Chatel Ski pass you can ski the resort, together with Torgon, the “Corbeau” sector of Morgins and the “Braitaz”sector at La Chapelle d`Abondance.
